Box Printing

There are many types of laminating films with adhesives that range from pressure-sensitive (cold) to heat-activated (thermal) and base films made up of PVC vinyl, polyester (PET), polypropylene (OPP), polycarbonate, and others.

Liquid laminating systems also come in many varieties. Some liquids, such as aqueous and solvent coatings, are cured using ambient, forced air and/or sometimes infrared heaters, while UV curable coatings need UV lamps to cure (harden) the liquid.

Protect and preserve:

Prolong the life of image to be laminated.
Protect the image from fingerprints, smudges, pollution, graffiti.
Protect the "message" on printed post cards from the mail system's sorters
Protect bus wraps from weekly "car" washes.

Enhance and beautify:

To enhance the image by making the surface more uniform.
To increase the gloss or matte level, or add a special texture (linen, leather, canvas).

Handling and functionality:

Add rigidity for ease of handling: for example, graphics for pop-up booth or roll-ups.
Add a slip resistant over-laminate to a floor graphic.
Add a laminate with a dry erase surface for menu boards.
Add a coating to make a non printable surface printable

Other reasons:

Development Projects

Pressure-sensitive (cold) laminate contains UV inhibitors to protect and enhance images. Solvant acrylic adhesive provides an aggressive permanent bond and can be used for both indoors or outdoor applications.

Pressure sensitive laminate is a perfect choice for vinyl banners and signs, photos, digital inkjet prints, and POP displays.

Pressure Sensitive UV Gloss

An exceptionally clear, glossy film that brings out the brightest colors of your finished piece. This film features UV inhibitors to protect the image from fading. The aggressive acrylic adhesive insures a flat, permanent bond. Provides brilliant definition and clear sharp image colors without distortion. Available in both a 4.5 mil, 3 mil and 2 mil film.

Pressure Sensitive UV Matte

The perfect finish to add an elegant yet subtle non-reflective matte appearance that eliminates light reflection, creates a softer feel, enriches and deepens colors. Recommended for highly lighted areas where glare can be a problem. This film features UV inhibitors to protect the image from fading

Pressure Sensitive UV Luster

Perfect for applications when a slightly dulled finish is needed. Use when gloss is too "shiny", with its silky finish, luster film offers a rich sheen that enhances a graphic with less reflectivity than gloss finishes. It can be used in outdoor situations or is ideal for interior display and gallery lighting. This film also features UV inhibitors.

Pressure Sensitive Polycarbonate

An extremely durable film that adds a unique textured look to your finished piece. Ideal for trade show exhibit graphics because of its toughness, coupled with flexibility needed for certain applications such as signage and displays. Available in a 12 mil configuration.

Pressure Sensitive UV Vinyl Textured

An extremely sturdy textured vinyl film perfect for trade show graphics, pop-up displays and floor graphics. Available in a 6 mil configuration.

Pressure Sensitive UV Hardcoat Gloss

This hardcoat gloss film provides excellent protection against graffiti and is a superior dry erase film that leaves no ghosting. Available in 1/1 and 3/2 configurations.
